Mine Detector Game (Blueprints, Unreal Engine 4)

This was a project where I tested my ability to create a game in short amount of time using Unreal's blueprints system. I used this as an opportunity to create pickups. This game uses a time limit in which a player must collect 20 items

Lab Escape Game
(C++, Blueprints, Unreal Engine 4)

This project was a final project for my degree. It was made using basic techniques inside the Unreal Engine. The main goal was to finish this project in 8 weeks and show increasing ability in building a game through that time. The concept was to use the idea that a lab is testing how patients interact when presented with unique problems, in this case platforming and memory tests.

This bomb model was assignment to make a 3D model out of an item from in our house. For me, the choice to use an object that had lots of curves to it was the best choice, it allowed me to show that I could work with many polys and tris in 3D modeling.

This is an untextured prop I use for other projects I work on and texture to fit in those game worlds. I used Blender, a new program to me, and one that I am still learning to use, however this is one of the better props I made using the software.

Game Development and Programming

4 year program designed to teach students in the use of common video game engine languages and asset creation. Languages learned include C, C#, C++, Java, HTML, Python. Unreal Engine was the engine used in all classes. Bitbucket was used for repositories, and many classes used the website for team based exercises.

I'm looking to break into the industry and make the impact that I know I can make. As a kid, I was really into level design and character design and would like to work in those areas and move up and head bigger projects. I want to change the perception that a game is just a game, that it can be something more to someone, something that holds a special place to them.
